Totally agree. After all, we could see from SAGN that the Cylons on Earth could reproduce. So what was the big deal that Chief could? He wasn’t the same as the Seven, anyway. It was the seven models that couldn’t, and their reproduction that mattered. So Nicky was just another descendant of that line, as it was.
